History ....

Blonk is a wholesaler of cereals, seeds, pulses / pods, potatoes, onions, fertilizers and sowing seeds.Founded in Zeghwaert ( Zoetermeer ) in 1882. Situated in a corn-mill "de Hoop" (Ma Cuisine).

As the agricultural purpose of Zoetermeer was threatened by growing urbanization in the area it was necessary to relocate to Biddinghuizen in the late `60. This due to the central agricultural location of Biddinghuizen in the Netherlands. At about the same time the serial wholesaler Jan Noordam in Moerkapelle was purchased by us. This thinking that we could stay ahead of growing urbanization and industrialization.

In 1994 we expanded and started a seed cleaning company in Willemstad. Mulder Marne BV a company specialized in importing of agricultural products with its silo's in Appingedam and Zoutkamp was added to the company later the next year. Due to the ever expanding Schipol airport we sold a subsidiary in Aalsmeer. As has been the case in the past the relocating farmers that follow in our wake often relocate to an area serviced by us.
